The plate is finished with a glossy transparent glaze that enhances the rich warmth of the terracotta, while the horse is intentionally left unglazed. This contrast between the smooth, reflective surface and the raw clay creates depth, movement and texture, allowing the sculpted horse to emerge from the plate with a tactile, almost lifelike presence.
